This computer is more than high end enough to run the resource hogging programs we threw at it. Sound is great, wireless and wired internet work well. The sheer number of USB 3.0 and 2.0 ports is amazing. And it’s fast – like lightning fast. Set up and installed software in no time. I’d buy another one just like it!

I have had issues with this computer since i bought it. The internet has issues connecting a lot of the time, and windows 8 is extremely frustrating. The computer also freezes up and don’t open up applications when I click on them. I’ve had to end processes multiple times for it to work.

The norton that was installed on the computer was awful, it blocked everything but never gave me the option to "trust site" or "download anyway" so programs I needed I couldn’t download. It is also awful when it comes to adds, I constantly have pop ups on the computer both while on the internet, and random popups to "Backup" my computer. I have tried to reach Amazon to see what to do about this but have not received a response. Very disappointed in the computer as i spend a lot of money one it.

I gave it four stars because I really don’t like windows 8,I downloaded 8.1 so I have the desktop back, but I much prefer windows 7,I’ve been using this one for a week now, but the old one is now fixed, so I’ll probably switch between them.

Let me be clear – I own an HP Envy series computer (actually I bought two of them for my business).
Believe the reviews that say "this is a slow computer"!!
Because it is an exasperatingly slow computer!
And I even purchased the upgrade 12 GB of RAM and it is still very slow.
My recommendation (based on 7 months of experience now) – stay away from all HP Envy series computers – they are very slow.

I checked four other sales sources for this computer and ALL were featuring significantly lower prices (as much as $100) than Amazon for exactly the same machine.
I also found this to be true last week when pricing a laptop. I was under the illusion Amazon offered the best prices–but apparently not, at least for computers.
Buyer beware!
Also, I currently own an HP but would be hard pressed to buy another one. The machine is OK but customer service and tech support are disasters. Customer beware.

This is a good system that will perform well at most tasks. I got the configuration with the 1 tb hybrid drive and that's my biggest complaint. The 16 gb expresscache is not very impressive and won't give the speed boost that a true ssd would. If I could do it over again, I would have opted for the 256 gb ssd for a hard drive and bought an external usb drive for extra storage. For those who don't need the extra storage for movies or music on your PC, get the ssd option. Windows will boot so much faster and apps will open so fast, you will not regret it. The touchscreen is responsive, the display is bright and clear and I have had no issues with staying connected to the network or playing games and other day to day stuff. Windows 8 takes some getting used to but I think I prefer it over XP. One minor thing, the system specs say it has three USB 2.0 and two USB 3.0 ports but it only has 2 of each. That isn't really an issue for me but if you need to connect lots of devices, you may have to plan for that.
Just to add some info about ssd performance: my 2007 iMac with a 2.4 ghz core2 duo cpu and 2 gb ram and booting from a 120 gb kingston ssd would complete in 23 seconds. My current system with a quad core 3.4 ghz cpu, 12 gb ram booting from a 1 tb hybrid drive boots to the login screen in 55 seconds and once I log in, it completely loads the desktop in another 72 seconds, total boot time at around 2 min 7 seconds. I know this isn't comparing apples to apples but should give you a good idea of why I'm disappointed with the hybrid drive's performance.

I only had one complaint with this ... keyboard and mouse stumbled around a bit ... like they couldn't find their way home.I bought a cheap replacement from Amazon.com and it works perfectly.

This was an easy setup, and the computer is very fast.I was used to a 27" monitor already so that was no big deal to me.I like that it's all in one -- except for the external DVD drive, which is fine for me.
